SUZANNE R. HODSON, RDH
I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I am married to Dr. Hodson and have been working with him for 28 Years. We have four adult children, and five grandchildren. I enjoy walking my beautiful Labrador Retriever “Syrah” on long walks with my husband. I am learning to play the piano and someday hope to play for Nordstrom’s at Christmas time. (Okay maybe just for my family!) On our days off together Don and I love to cook and have dinner parties. We also enjoy exploring our National Parks, wine tasting together and sometimes I like just “being still” with a good book.
My patients have become dear to me and through the years many are friends. I only wish there were more time for our visits together. My philosophy is to remind my patients to take the time to take care of themselves, and that with good health comes good living.
MARIANNE LEYVA
It has been my pleasure to work for Dr. Hodson for the past 21 years in the front office assisting patients with their appointments, billing and insurance and on occasion assisting at chairside. I have been married to my husband for 31 years and we have four grown children, Amanda, Steven and twins, Matt and Chris. My hobbies are sewing, taking morning walks, reading and spending time with family and friends.
DEBRA MASTERSON, CLIENT RELATIONS
Debra has been working in dentistry for over 30 years. In that time, she has been fortunate to work in every aspect of a dental office, from front office to assisting. She has been with Dr. Hodson for 16 years and works in client relations. Debra is the mother of two children, her son Jordan, his wife Liz, and her daughter Rebecca. She is the proud grandmother of three wonderful grandchildren: Hannah, Hope and Aaron. Debra enjoys interacting with patients and being a part of the American Family Dentistry team.
CHONG ALTENBURG, REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST
Chong is a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice, which allows her to deliver hygiene services to high-needs patients outside of a traditional dental office. This is her fifth year working with Dr. Hodson and his team, and overall brings 31 years of dental work experience.
Helping people through her work is her passion. Over the years she has worked at military bases and private offices around the world, and volunteered extensively for the American Red Cross and her church community. She has two sons, one who helps open new public schools across Los Angeles and one who flies for both Southwest Airlines and the U.S. Air Force as a reservist. She’s a two-time Boston marathon finisher—and is planning to do one more! Chong enjoys working out, yoga, and spinning. Her latest hobby is learning to play the Ukulele.
